The 31-year-old was reportedly arrested in the French capital on Wednesday after a women accused him of attempted rape.
"There was no rape and Saad suffered a trap," he told Atlasinfo. "The French justice will determine the responsibilities, and the ins and outs of this business," added Mr. Rachidi.
The lawyer also wanted to refute the statements that were attributed to him on a "Algerian machination". "I have not accused anyone especially as I am a hard campaigner of respect for the presumption of innocence," he insisted.
"The French justice does its job and I trust her," he said.
Saad will be brought before the competent prosecutor on Friday morning
Saad became a household name in Morocco and the Middle East after his musical hit "LM3ALLEM" (The Boss) earned him record views on YouTube and a Guinness World Record achievement.
